Natural forms, vernacular architecture, domestic artifacts, high or low art forms; these sentient details of everyday life are my resource. As they are examined and processed, patterns emerge, resulting in variations on a theme. All images here are done by hand. Everything is based on sustained observation which yields a sense of connection to the world around me.
An assemblage of ink drawings on duralar, 33 x 72" total. Each 11 x 14" sheet is a distillation of patterns inspired by a trapunto quilt. Currently on display as part of the faculty exhibit, Dutchess Community College.
