Drawing

Drawing is where new materials and techniques can be tried out but I also return to it to study form. I have been investigating natural forms through drawing for a long time; the practice keeps me anchored in the act of observation and is akin to zooming in with a magnifying lens. At that perspective, objects can be studied for details of shape, proportion and pattern- a holding action of sorts. But studying nature also reveals that its forms are constantly mutating.
